I am one of the many Virgin Islands Government retirees, from the Dept. Of Education, owed a substantial amount of money.

The Virgin Islands Government, with this Federal small business stimulus initiative grant / loan program, could pay back some of that retro debt by transferring government vacant and abandoned buildings and properties over to those owed interested, for potential small business operations.

What is The Butcher Shop of the Virgin Islands? Is it an art collective, are art pieces sold or is it an art workshop? I’d appreciate learning more.

Possibly the Council on the Arts, the St. Croix Foundation or the Virgin Islands Community Foundation could provide sponsorship. Local artists collaborating and producing will add to the local cultural scene and add dimension to the VI tourism product. There are other really talented local artist but unless you know them or know people who do, it is real difficult to see or purchase their work.
